As if one adventure for the weekend was not enough, we decided to to visit Ganyard Hill Farms on Sunday afternoon. Cailee had been supposed to go with her school this past week but it go rained out so they had given every child a sticker and we were able to take her instead. For me, it was a blessing in disguise, although I would have enjoyed seeing her interact with the students in her class, I now realize it would have been quite difficult trying to manage both kiddos at once, effectively, by my self.
It has been two years since we last visited this farm and I believe its my favorite. Its a little less commercial, a little less busy and Cailee thoroughly enjoyed herself. We picked pumpkins right out of the patch (I didn’t realize that pumpkins are a little prickly at the stem), she loved the hay pile slide, and the “sandbox” of corn. We fed goats, walked the corn maze (with a little help from the hay ride driver, we didn’t get lost) and more. It was a beautiful day, unseasonably warm, but no complaints here.
When we do this again – we’ll have to go here. We went to Green Acres in Morrisville – yeah we won’t need to go there again. Live and learn! lol
