As we got towards the end of the school year the kids, there was a three week stretch where the kids had back to back fieldtrips. I guess the weather was good, and the teachers were feeling the end of the year bug. I do believe my work colleagues were starting to doubt the truth in my “I’m gonna be late/miss work excuses” but I enjoy going on the fieldtrips (and know there will come a point when it won’t be cool for mom to be the chaperone but or now it still it).
We weren’t the only ones apparently who booked end of the year field trips – both kids had trips to the Mueseum of Life and Science along with 35 other school bus loads. It was a little terrifying trying to keep up with all your charges but I got lucky and didn’t have any wild ones and I returned them all in one piece.
