So, we love Club Blvd park. It’s in a great neighborhood close to downtown Durham, it’s got a lot of shade, a sizeable paved path perfect for bikes and scooters, nice playground equiptment and everyone brings their old toys for the community to use – which makes it a mecca for trucks and big wheels – heaven on earth for Connor. Last Thursday, it was a beautiful day, so the kids and I piled in the car with scooters in tow and headed to the park, expecting it to be busy, beucase the weather was great, but we were a little unprepared for “8 food trucks and everyone in the neightborhood” kind of busy. Maybe its a new thing, I don’t think it was coincidence because everyone seemed to know of it but us, but then again, we don’t officially live in the neighborhood so of course we would not be in the know.

It was honestly a pleasant surprise. In one trip to the park, I managed to entertain the kids and have dinner ready when JJ got off work (and I texted him to join us). Can’t beat that luck. Once the kids got over the hecticness of it (or maybe that was me) and enjoyed a locopops popcycle, it turned out to be a lot of fun.
