It’s that time of year, not only am I taking a bunch of time off for our upcoming trip (and previous gymnastics competitions) but now we have a bunch of fieldtrips lined up – Durham Bulls, Carolina Theater with Cailee, and today, Museum of Life and Science with Connor. Even though that’s meant a lot of time away from work, its still important to me to try and attend the fieldtrips – its kinda just always been our thing – and something tells me, after going to the Museum for many years, chaperoning young kiddos – this might be the last. Not that I can’t take them anytime we want – its right down the road (lucky for us) – but I’ll for sure miss the regular fieldtrips to the Museum. Luckily this time, I only had to watch Connor and one of his other buddies – and they were pretty well behaved… I didn’t even have to chase after them – they actually listened (Yes, this is me, surprised). Best yet, I don’t think there were 50 busloads of school children there on the same day – which was a huge blessing. We actually covered a good bit of the museum in a short period of time, indoors and outdoors, even the train. The only downside was that it was unseasonably chilly for April so we kept moving as much as possible to keep warm.
