So finally it’s Connor’s turn to play soccer. His shin guards reach his knees and his knee-high socks cover his thighs and there was only one pair of soccer shoes in his size but he was so excited to finally be on the field instead of watching Cailee from the sidelines.  He did really good, UNTIL… an airplane flew overhead and then it was Connor: “What’s that?”  Me: “It’s a plane.”  Connor: “Where did it go?”  Me: Away, pay attention to the ball.”  Connor: “Where did it go?”  Me: “Away, Pay attention.”  Connor: “Where did it GO?”  Me: “Disney World”  Connor to everyone: “The plane went to Disney World!”   Connor: “Where did it go?”

This is a normal occurrence with Connor – he wants to know where anything that moves is going and he will continue to ask until he is satisfied with the answer or something better comes along.    So he played some soccer, got distracted by the plane, played some soccer, got distracted by the “potty truck” (Yes, a big truck came to get the waste from the porta john  and the coach thought she could get everyone to ignore it by calling it yucky and the potty truck, instead everyone just got distracted by the “potty truck”), but then he played some more soccer.   So for a three year old, he pretty much rocked it.  And he’s asking when he can go back again (to see the potty truck).
