So while the big boys (JJ + his dad) were off playing, mom and the kiddos packed up and headed to High Point. I know, one might consider this far short of a vacation given that we only traveled an hour down the road. Either way, lucky for us the Hamletts were nice (brave) enough to invite us for the weekend and it turned out to be a great reason not to be at home alone. The kids thoroughly enjoyed hanging with Isabella and Audrey – I’m sure they were way more fun than mom (I mean look at those water guns!), and mom definitely appreciated conversation (and great food) with people over the age of 5 (and not a computer in sight for three days). If that’s not a vacation – I don’t know what it is.
