Soccer season is here. It was supposed to happen several weeks ago but the weather was just not cooperating (no complaints here since we are still wrapping up swimming lessons). Saturday morning turned out chillier than even I anticipated. For some reason they had everyone 6 and under together – which was convenient for us but turned into craziness for the kids. Little kids were basically getting run over by the bigger kids. Connor was less than enthused – there might have been other things going on (we made several trips to the potty)and he certainly wasn’t getting any real time with the ball, but Cailee did well, even if she refused to take her hands out of her pockets (soccer is, after all, a no hands game). Look at that grit and determination on her face. Kinda fierce.
