Overnight the weather turned cold, you can see a few left over photos below from yesterday where we enjoyed 60 degree temps and sunny skies. Today, however, it was downright chilly with highs barely cresting 40 degrees, but that didn’t deter the kids from wanting to be outside. Everyone was bundled up, Cailee even donned her winter boots – which are really insulated rain boots, but suitable for snow (of which we had neither).

As usual, I was taking picture and Cailee was appeasing me and posing on the fence, when I noticed out of the corner of my eye/lens, Connor had ducked around the fence and was heading down the hill. Its not just a hill, take two steps beyond the fence, its really quite a severe drop off, so I panicked.

Turns out, Connor had it all under control, when he started to lose his balance, he turned around and slid down the hill of leaves on his belly and quite enjoyed himself. It didn’t take long for Cailee to follow him down the hill (its funny/scary how many new things Connor teaches Cailee, he’s far more adventurous).

Note where Connor is…

Soon Cailee and Connor were both all smiles as they slid down the hill of leaves…

Leftover photos from the day after Turkey day…

Connor-man with the remnants of an acorn around his mouth. Yum!
