So Cailee had her six year doctor appointment this week and the doctor performed a routine eye screening.  She was 20/40 in both eyes.  I was curious about her eyesight because recently she’s struggled reading some things that I thought she should be able to make out easily.  The doctor wasn’t alarmed but suggested that we pursue a real eye exam because a screening is just that and an eye exam could tell us much more – as in if we should look into glasses at this point.   In the meantime, Cailee has been sporting her new “sunglasses” (courtesy of “Old McDonald’s happy meal) night and day.  We think they  have that 50s vibe – and she loves them, even without actual lens.  I have to admit – even though this is not the style I would pick for her if they were the real deal – for a mid afternoon walk on this beautiful fall day – they were adorable.

By the way… notice that missing tooth?  Yep, it’s the first one, she lost it  (two Fridays ago) eating Lucky Charms cereal, walking out the the door to school.  We were all pretty excited.  The tooth fairy brought her four quarters and a My Little Pony blind bag (I’m documenting this so we can look back in 20 years and say, What’s a My Little Pony blind bag? And see, without the explanation we still won’t know.).  She’s been showing me how wiggly the second bottom tooth is now.
