We thought we’d try something different this year instead of your traditional egg hunt, JJ found out about the Dino Egg Hunt at the Museum of Life and Science and this seemed like an interesting twists on things. It was ok, but I think the kids enjoyed just being at the museum more than anything. Because that it was a warmer than the usual spring afternoon, we started at the mist area (as did a whole bunch of other kids). Cailee found it amusing that she could put her face in the mist with her sunglasses on and her eyes stayed dry (imagine that!). At the hunt, the kids each got to “find” 5 eggs with little treats in them. Connor was disappointed it was not edible treats, Cailee seemed thrilled to acquire more gumball machine worthy rings. We capped off the festivities with the fossil dig. Connor stole everyone’s shovels and pans, Cailee found a lot of broken shells, she was happily convinced were real bones and we didn’t tell her anything different. Mom even found an actual shark’s tooth (first time ever, but who’s boasting) and she was hardly impressed. Turns out the real treat of the afternoon was a visit to Goodberries for our first ice cream visit of the season.
