Phew, I made it. Didn’t think I was ever going to get around to writing up all these blog posts. Day six was potentially our busiest to date. We knew it was the last day so I know we were trying to make the most of it. We headed to Epcot this morning. There really weren’t a lot of people here and far less kids and I know why – but there were a few things we wanted to see/do. Cailee and JJ and then Cailee and I rode the GM Car similator ride – I thought that was a lot of fun, you design your car and then get to test it out across a variety of circumstances, getting up to nearly 70 mph on an outdoor track at one point. I only wish Connor could have done it – he barely missed the height requirement. Bonus, Epcot also has a Starbucks so we stocked up (we were trying to use up our extra snacks and meals that we knew would be left over from our meal plan).

We rode the Nemo ride and then headed to Italy for lunch. We had a really good pizza lunch (that would have cost us $140 bucks if we weren’t on the meal plan, ouch!) at Via Napoli. We walked to Japan and Cailee got to pick an oyster and find a pearl which was entertaining. In France, she met Belle, from Beauty and the Beast. JJ and I continued the walk through the World Showcase although the kids were just along for the ride (but yes, we walked the 1.2.5 miles). Back to the front we did the ride up through the Epcot ball, and a ride through the Disney food ecosystem (proud to say we saw the 9lb lemons, sorry inside joke). Connor was feeling the effects of a busy day the previous day so I took him back to the room for a rest while Cailee and JJ stayed behind to ride another ride. Ultimately, I took the wrong mode of transportation and didn’t really gain us any down time, but Connor enjoyed the monorail nonetheless.

Tonight was Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party. They transform Magic Kingdom into Halloween for several dates in September and October and we were lucky it had kicked off this week. What better way to spend Friday the 13th. Cailee was pretty excited to dress up as Ariel and I did my best to replicate her hair style from the day before. It wasn’t as good but it worked. Connor just wanted to go to the pool. So we split up again, JJ and Connor did the slide at the pool for a bit (I snagged a few pics as we were heading out) and Cailee and I went to the park. Turns out again that due to different boat schedules we only arrived a few minutes ahead of them and thankfully Connor, sans costume, had finally fallen asleep. It was a pretty neat event, everyone got to trick or treat (we came home with A LO of candy), there was a really fun parade and since it was just a limited admission thing, nearly all the rides had no wait – the only time it required was to walk through the miles of stantions of what would have been lines, so we knocked out a few remaining rides we hadn’t gotten to ride yet. Cailee really liked Splash mountain – the ride in the raft that has the 50 foot drop and you get all wet.

I have to say, we crammed as much as we could into the week, I was a little type A with all my planning (but I think that was to our advantage, we sure covered a lot of ground) but in retrospective, both JJ and I said we wouldn’t change a thing – I am pretty certain the kids would agree.
