Wow!  What a beautiful day for a picnic.  We met my parents and bro/Jen at Hagan Stone today at our usual spot for our last picnic of 2014 (well, unless this unseasonably warm weather persists).

The weather was perfect and so was the company. We enjoyed chicken and all the fixins’, impromptu soccer, hike in the woods, play time on the super duper playground, all topped off with an appearance by the Kona sno cone truck (Dave, you missed out).   It was a great end cap to a jam-packed weekend (Fair on Friday, Soccer & Party on Saturday, Church and Picnic on Sunday) – can’t cram much more than that into 48 hours.  Lucky for us, Cailee has a teacher workday on Monday.  She has been reminding all of us this weekend of her three day weekend (do they really think like this already? School’s only just begun).  And Lucky for me, the fun, family and fall weekend was good for my soul.
